Who Is Biscuit?
So, who am I – I’m Biscuit! A Biewer Yorkshire Terrier
Born on June the 22nd 2016 and now lucky to be living the high life with my human parents Jan & Martin who by the way ‘love me to bits’. My girlfriend Honey is just the sweetest – a Maltese Terrier – and great at Trying and Testing any products that come our way. As she’s a girl we won’t mention ‘age’ but I think she has been around for awhile as she seems to know ‘everything’!!
So, to get started – I’m a traveller and adventurer and will share some of my trips with you so you can understand ‘what’ some of the places are like. I’ll share a good walk or two. Plus, my high living flying experiences!! Plus, exciting Road Trips!!
When I first arrived in my new home I flew from Pheonix (nice and hot) to Calgary (extremely cold and lots of odd white stuff on the ground) for a Christmas break – then back to Phoenix – woof woof – I’ve arrived – what a life!! More on that later – Honey can tell you about the Travel Cases – so comfy and warm – totally safe!!
So today – I’m just telling you about me a Biewer Yorkshire Terrier! The Biewer originated in Hunsruck, Germany in 1984 when Werner and Gertrude Biewer’s, award winning blue and tan Yorkshires ’Darling von Friedheck’ and ‘Fru Fru’ von Friedheck’ bore a puppy, named ‘Scneeflocken von Friedheck’ – “what the heck Biscuit seems so much simpler – anyway – back to the story”!! ‘Scneeflocken von Friedheck had a piebald coat (large, asymmetrical black and white patches) due to a gene mutation. The Biewers continued breeding their Yorkshires to achieve four white legs, chest, belly and tip of the tail -” hold on let me take a look – woof woof – that’s right” – yay I’m a Biewer”!!!! The Biewer Yorkshire was recognized by the ACH in 1989 and first imported to America in 2003! The first Biewer shown in Canada was in Ontario in 2006. Personality wise we are adventurous, sensitive but fun-loving pups! Very little shedding but that is helped by a product Honey recommends keeping our fur in perfect condition – more on that later under Honey’s Tried and Tested page!
